FUNCTIONAL CERAMICS AND ENERGY PRODUCTION SYMPOSIUM

Functional ceramics – inorganic nonmetallic materials prized for their unique and valuable electrical, magnetic, or optical properties – play an important role in many advanced applications, including current and future energy production and energy storage technologies.

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University will host a half-day symposium open to the community on “Functional Ceramics and Energy Production” on Wednesday, September 11th in Nord 310 beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Six internationally recognized ceramic scientists from the United States and Japan will provide authoritative lectures on the latest research findings in this important field.  Parking for visitors to campus is available at an hourly rate at the Veale Center Garage located on Adelbert Road near Circle Drive.  A campus map is available at www.case.edu.
