The American Conservation Film Festival Board of Directors invite you to a Valentine's Day Fashion Formal with an EcoFashion Challenge:
Reclaim: dress with materials you already own
Repurpose: mix, match, recreate your possessions
Upcycle: added points for turning materials one would otherwise toss into formal wear/accessories
Enjoy champagne and appetizers with your community on Thursday, February 14th from 5:00-8:00pm at Shepherdstown Train Station. Wear your favorite outfit, borrow items from a friend, or check out previously owned clothing at ReFINEments. Please do not buy anything new. Capture the fun with digital photos from the Picstacheo Photo Booth. To purchase tickets online, click the register button. You will be directed to PayPal.
Meet afterward for dinner at Yellow Brick Bank. Ticket holders receive a "buy one entree get one half price" special valid through 2/16/12. Pianist Sam Jannotta will be playing at YBB till 10pm. Kitchen service will be available till 9pm. Reservations recommended.
At the Eco Fashion Challenge, the Best Dressed and Best Couple Awards will be presented by guest judges and experts Roselyn Sanders Mendez and Judi Platz. Please indicate if you would like to participate in the Best Dressed or Best Couple Awards at the sign-in table. The Audience Choice Award will be cast by silent vote submission. Each award recipient will be furnished with a $25 gift certificate to the Yellow Brick Bank.
Metered parking is available at the train station and along the nearby streets. The parking meters are checked up till 6:00pm. Please feed the meter enough to keep your car safe from tickets till 6:00pm.
Tickets will be sold online and at the door. If you would like to pay by credit card then you will need to purchase your tickets online prior to the event. Tickets cost $25 each, or two for $45. Because of services rendered and received, $10 of the ticket cost, per person, is not tax deductible. The payment above $10 a person is tax deductible as a charitable contribution. The proceeds benefit the American Conservation Film Festival. Thank you for your support!
