We’re hosting one final event in 2009! Come see your fellow IxDA Toronto members present on a variety of topics:
1) “Agile UX and the decentralization of the UX department” by Karri Ojanen
2) “reSurface – Tabletop Touch Challenges” by Shawn Konopinsky
3) “Beware of making the UI too simple: Lessons from a software engineering classic” by Paul McInerney
4) “Interface modifications and scripts every Visio IA should consider using” by Vergel Evans
5) “Making the move from BA to IA” by Julian Lising
Each person will have approximately 10 minutes to do their thing. We’re aiming for a relaxed, member-to-member discussion. In honour of the holidays, we’ll be providing some refreshments too!
We’d love for a couple of people to start the evening off with a mentoring update — are you still meeting with your mentor / mentee? What kinds of things have you been talking about? Is anyone still looking for a mentor? We’ll do what we can to get you set up.
Location: 215 Spadina Ave, Suite 120 (Centre for Social Innovation)
Date: Monday, Dec. 14th
Time: 7-9pm (as usual, we’ll head to The Rivoli afterward)
Hope to see you there.
We’d also like to send a special thank you to Usability Matters (http://www.usabilitymatters.com) and nForm (http://www.nform.ca) for their ongoing sponsorship of IxDA Toronto. With no other income, we would be homeless and foodless without their assistance.
