Event Information

Pitching is a verb not a noun. You don't need the perfect pitch(noun), you need to be awesome at pitching(verb). Pitching is an art, it requires practice, practice and then more practice. Pitching is not something only your CEO does in order to ask for money. Everyone can benefit from improving their ability to pitch.

Half Baked is your opportunity to practice pitching. Please, remember, your solution is not my problem. Here's how it works. We take a set of cue cards, we write a single word on each and put them in a bowl. Everyone picks a single card. We then partner up. Each set of partners now has two words. You have 10 minutes to craft your pitch.

One person from your team then pitches to the entire group. 60 seconds to pitch, 60 seconds of feedback from the room.

Return to your teams and you have 10 minutes to revise your pitch for your teammate to pitch. Same format, they get 60 seconds to pitch, 60 seconds for feedback. Done. After we wrap, hopefully you can stick around for a pint.

Check out some examples, including mustache underwear. NOTE: This is not about creating your pitch, or pitch deck, for your startup. PS: As best I can tell, half baked was orginally Dave McClure's idea.
