The Hoboken Dual Language Charter School presents Sabor de HoLa at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ on Tuesday, March 13th, from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. Join us for an evening of the area's finest cuisine! Sample red and white wines, savor tapas, bid during our live and silent auction, dance to the music, and help raise $75,000, the funds necessary for the school's new classrooms currently being built at the Boys and Girls Club, located at 123 Jefferson Street. It is sure to be an evening to remember!
Dine:
Enjoy delicious Spanish and Latin American tapas and other foods from an array of local restaurants including: Son Cubano, La Casa Vasca, La Isla, The Taco Truck, 1 Republik, Texas Arizona, Greenrock Tap and Grill, Havana Cafe & Lounge, The Little Grocery, Sammy's Roadhouse, Anthony Davids, The Clinton Social, East LA, Sweet, Bin 14, The Melting Pot, Village Pourhouse, Madison Bar and Grill, The Cuban, Sol Caribe, and Mikie Squared.
Wine and Drinks:
Your event ticket includes an exciting wine tasting featuring wines from Spain, Argentina, and Chile, provided by The Turtle Club. For an additional $20 enjoy unlimited cocktails, sponsored by Pernod Ricard. A cash bar will also be available.
Music:
Enjoy dancing to live music from Hola parents Guy Gettens and his band Max Power, and DJ Q spinning tunes.

A listing of auction items is available on www.biddingforgood.com/HoLaHoboken. Online bidding will begin on February 1st, so we hope you'll begin reviewing the items available! If you have something to donate, please do so directly online. Featured items include: Shipyard pool pass, sunset dinner cruise around Manhattan, jazz band and vocalist for your next dinner party, 4 day passes to Disney World, a one week stay in a 3BR apartment in the Riviera Maya Mexico, Stella & Dot jewelry, and much, much more.
The cost to attend the Sabor de HoLa is $65/person in advance and $80/person after March 1st.
"Loco 50 Cincuenta Raffle" - Why is it loco? Because, instead of the traditional 50/50 raffle, you have 3 chances to win: 1st prize is 35% of funds collected, 2nd prize is 10% of funds collected and 3rd prize is 5% of funds raised. 1st prize may be over $12,000! 2nd prize could be $3,500 and 3rd prize may be almost $1,750! About Us:
The Hoboken Dual Language Charter School (HoLa) is an exciting new dual language charter school that opened its doors to students in grades K-2 in September 2010 (a grade will be added each year until the school reaches K-5). HoLa offers a traditional core curriculum through instruction in both Spanish and English to children of all language backgrounds. The program utilizes the well-established Two-Way Immersion approach to dual language education with a range of opportunities for creative expression and experiential learning. Students become bilingual and biliterate in a culturally diverse and nurturing environment.
