Note: there are no tckets for freelancecampTO2 available at the door.
FreelancecampTO is a one day professional development event specifically for any and every type of freelancer. Whether you're just starting your freelance career and need the basics, mid-career and need a boost to that next level, or well-established and need a reminder of why freelancing is for you, this is a training day you craft for yourself.
Camp-style events are unique in that attendees suggest topics they'd like to see and deliver, and if chosen they are added to the schedule. The schedule will be split between beginner level sessions and advanced level sessions so that you can get the most out of your day, no matter what level you're at.
Last year's event was wildly successful and we're happy to bring another day of learning to the freelancers of Toronto. As we have more developments for the day, we'll post them to our website and blog.
Tickets are not available at the door. All attendees must be registered in advance.
NOTE: refunds are only available for those purchased prior to Mar 25. All tickets registered thereafter are non-refundable.
KEYNOTE ADDRESS
We're pleased to announce a change in the format of the day to include a keynote speaker. Steve Slaunwhite has worked with some big companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Sprint, UPS, and Forbes, but has shifted focus to work with ambitious small business owners to help them build a fulfilling business, marketing expert, award-winning copywriter, bestselling author. He comes to us as a full package, but specifically as a co-author of The Wealthy Freelancer. His keynote will be Painless Prospecting for Freelancers: How to 'Warm Call' and 'Warm Email' Your Way to More Clients, and we're honoured to have him join us.
You can find out more info about him at his website, on Twitter, or LinkedIn.
GENERAL SCHEDULE
Gather at 9:00am for regsitration, coffee, and networking and make your way to the lecture hall for the opening session at 9:30am. The regular morning sessions will be in the selected classrooms, then we'll break for a basic lunch, which will include a vegetarian option as well as a meat option. The Keynote Address will follow lunch in the lecture hall, then we're off to afternoon sessions in the classrooms, a short closing session in the lecture hall, then off to the pub.
Lunch will be offered as either vegetarian or meat. The vegetarian will either be lacto-ovo or vegan, and the meat option will be either chicken or beef or perhaps a fish. We regret that while we'll try, we cannot please everyone. The cost of lunch is included in every ticket regardless of whether you eat lunch or not.
Session speakers are required to register with a ticket.
The full schedule is being confirmed with the new date. See 20 amazing speakers deliver sessions on a range of topics, split into Beginner level and Advanced level.
