Photos and Book Signing with MTV's Steve-O to Benefit The Kindness Collective

Saturday, December 3rd, from 1-2pm, join Steve-O, the star of MTV's Jackass and Wildboyz and ABC's Dancing with the Stars, at DC's own Busboys & Poets for a fundraising event to benefit The Kindness Collective.  At the event, you'll be able to meet Steve-O, grab a photo, and get a copy of his book, Prosessional Idiot: A Memoir, signed.

Steve-O (a.k.a. Stephen Glover) was born in London and, by the age of twelve, had lived in five countries and communicated fluently in three different languages. He is a graduate of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College. Steve-O is currently on tour performing his comedy routine, which is a mix of stand-up, stunts and bar-tricks. Most importantly, Steve-O has been clean and sober since March of 2008 and lives a healthy, vegan lifestyle in the Los Angeles area.

Your $8 donation will benefit The Kindness Collective's work with domestic violence shelters to accommodate survivors' pets. Up to 40% of domestic violence victims report that they are unable to escape their abusers because they are afraid of what will happen to their pets when they leave, and pets left behind are often abused or even killed. The Kindness Collective hopes to bring an end to the abuse of all by permitting victims of domestic violence to seek safety with their pets in tow.

The Kindness Collective works at the intersection of human and animal welfare, striving to improve the lives of all beings through initiatives encouraging plant-based diets and other acts of compassion.
