Block fee information session - Sudbury

Following the introduction of phase 2 of the block fee pilot earlier this week, Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) is hosting information sessions across the province to further explain block fees, and answer questions from lawyers.
Block fees are fixed fees or rates that LAO pays lawyers for the appropriate resolution of some of the most common criminal charges, instead of an hourly tariff. The second phase of the pilot includes more block-fee eligible charges, and introduces new fee types, which are more responsive to the complexity and cost of criminal matters.
Lawyers interested in attending the Sudbury information session can register above to secure a space. More information about Legal Aid Ontario’s block fee program can be found on LAO’s website.
