Event Information

On Friday March 11th 2011, tragedy struck Japan in the form of a devastating 9.0 earthquake, triggering a tsunami that left the beautiful island country in a state of emergency.

Here in Toronto, we celebrate our multicultural heritage on a regular basis and when a member of the international community calls out for help, we come running.

On Thursday March 31st 2011, join us at Tattoo Rock Parlour for an epic night of fundraising; we'll be raffling off prizes from some incredible sponsors, dancing to fantastic tunes and generally having a great time at one of the top venues in the city... and all for a great cause. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Japan Earthquake/Asia-Pacific Tsunami fund with the Canadian Red Cross. Why wouldn't you come?

Doors open at 9 p.m. - will we see you there?

Sponsorship Information

We've designed a number of affordable sponsorship packages for those who are able to commit to doing more than just buying a ticket. Please visit http://japanquakeTO.ca/sponsor for more information about our sponsorship packages. The Canadian Red Cross will be issuing tax receipts for all event supporters.

#JapanQuakeTO is open to ages 19+ only, and all tickets are non-refundable. We pledge not to do anything nefarious with your contact information, except to contact you about the event (which isn't all that nefarious).

Why are you charging HST?

Because #JapanQuakeTO is a revenue generating event, we are obliged to charge HST according to the CRA's rules. #JapanQuakeTO is not a registered charity, and because of this, we are not tax-exempt. If you still have questions, please email us: japanquakeTO@gmail.com.
