After fighting boars and slimes in the woods, collecting coins, and dipping into pipes, Gamercamp is back and leveled-up! Fire up those reflexes and get your thumbs warmed up because Gamercamp Lv2 rocks Toronto November 13th and 14th, 2010.
Gamercamp is a celebration of the art, creativity and fun of video games. It captures the excitement and enthusiasm that kept us wide-eyed and immersed in front of the television well into the night. Whether you make (or aspire to make) games, think about games, or simply love playing games, this is the weekend for you.
We've got everything you dug about Gamercamp v1.0: great talks by brilliant local and international game makers and industry thinkers, in-progress demos from local talent and another bangin' 1UP, this year featuring New York's Anamanaguchi (creators of the Scott Pilgrim game soundtrack) and Starscream (the band with, quite possibly, the best name ever!)
If that wasn't enough, we've added an entire second day of conversations where you can dig deeper into the areas you're most interested in with experts: learn about the frontier of educational games, making your own chiptunes, the importance of play, mobile gaming, and much more. And we haven't even mentioned the retro gaming stations, indie game demo room, tournaments, and indie arcade featuring the Torontron cabinets! Phew!
Oh, and if you dig it, help us spread the word and click one of the share links above ::)
