Secret Pickle Supper Club invites you to an intimate guided tasting dinner event -

Guided Tasting Tour of Piedmonte. 


The menu will feature dishes and ingredients that are classic to the region of Piedmont in Northwest Italy.  While the menu isn't finalized,  you can expect to see Agnolotti Dal Plin, Vitello Tonatto, and ingredients like hazelnuts, chocolate and a focus on meat.  The wines will showcase the various styles of Piedmont and include Barbera, Dolcetto, and likely some Nebbiolo-based bigger wines as well as at least one white.

Catered by Chef Matt Kantor of LittleKitchen.ca, at the Fair Trade Jewelery Company Atelier in Cabbagetown courtesy of Ryan Taylor & Asaka Yamashita on Saturday March 6th from 7-10pm.  Your MC for the evening will be Alexa Clark.  

Notes:

  • Seating is very limited and we are renting everything from seats to plates so please get your tickets early!
  • Like most Italian meals this one will include pork, alcohol and possibly even a baby cow.


When to arrive:
 Saturday, March 6 at 7:00 pm
 We'll start the tasting at 7:30 if you are there or not.

Dress Code:
Come looking pretty or handsome or pretty handsome.  You know there  are going to be cameras.
Just make sure whatever you wear will look dashing or delightful when you pose with a pickle for your official Society of the Secret Pickle photo.

Who's coming?
We are going to be an "intimate" group of 36, along with Chef Matt Kantor (www.littlekitchen.ca) and a couple of extra people who are stepping in to help keep the evening flowing smoothly both in the kitchen and the dining room.  Also Joining us to talk about the wines of Piedmonte will be Julian Hitner of Vintage Assessments.


How to get there: TTC
 Go to any of the following stations and take a cab (~$7):

  •    Wellesley
  •    Collage
  •    Bloor/Yonge
  •    Sherbourne

  Or, take the Collage Streetcar east to Parliament and walk north  about 2 blocks.

How to get there: Car

 Call a cab and say "523 Parliament St, please"
 We recommend strongly against driving since there will be wine with  every course.
